Cost cutting during a pandemic

The lock downs and safety procedures during the pandemic have made working from the office spaces impossible. This leaves large offices with a lot of overhead sitting empty. There are several ways we looked at saving money including dropping bandwidth, phone seats, ISPs, etc. The most recent change we made was cutting an ISP at our office in Irving, Texas. The main line rarely has disruptions, and the backup ISP was already on a month-to-month contract and therefor severable without penalty. This service is only necessary when we have an office full of employees and it can easily be reinstated when/if needed in the future. This savings ended up being about $2,000 a month. This might not be possible in every situation but worked out for us!
